Tampere Autumn Adventure! 

What to do: 

1. We will create teams of 5 people..

2. Choose ONE person from your team who will send ALL completed tasks from your team to the organisers.

3. Below you can find a list of tasks. You have until 17:00hrs to complete the tasks. We will meet at Dam bar Satakunnankatu 13 b, 33100 Tampere 

4. First send your team name to the contact person. Send all task answers, pictures or videos by Telegram/WhatsApp to the contact person. Please send them as you go and don’t send them all at once in the end. Incase of any issues or questions feel free to reach out to @mosesnderemani

5. You can get extra points for being creative when taking/filming pictures/videos.

6. The team that gets the most points will get a gift for all the members.

TASKS (1 point each):

1. 1. Did you know that the one and only Moomin museum in the world is located in Tampere? Go near the entrance of the museum and take a selfie with a Moomin character. 

1. 2. Do you love trams? They are the newest addition to our city public transport. So enjoy a tram ride and take a selfie at the stop which you find interesting. 

1. 3. Find your way to the Tallipiha stables and see if there are any animals to pet. This would also be the perfect occasion to enjoy a hot beverage of your choice. Take a selfie with your group here.

1. 4. The first ever electric light bulb of Finland and all Nordic countries was lit in Tampere. But which year was it? Find the place with great beers in the Finlayson area and you can answer this question. Take a selfie here.

1. 5. There is the waterbody which connects the lakes of Tampere. Take a selfie on Satakunnansilta bridge and answer what are the names of these two lakes that the waterbody combines.

1. 6. Koskipuisto is famous for its pussikalja (meaning: cans of beer enjoyed out of a plastic bag) meetings during summer time. Head to Koskipuisto and take a video of you singing any Finnish song you know.

1. 7. Pyynikki is a lovely part of the city with beautiful views over the lake. Take a walk to Pyynikki tower and enjoy their famous Munkki doughnut which is a classic Tampere delicacy. Take a selfie in Pyynikki or with a Munkki if you decide to eat one. 

      1. Extra points for a view from above!

1. 8. Mustamakkara is a traditional Finnish food from the region of Tampere. It is a sausage made with blood. Which berry is often eaten with mustamakkara? If you are brave enough, you can head to the meat counter of the store Sokos (downstairs) and buy and try some mustamakkara. Take a video of you eating it

   9. Moro Sky bar is an awesome place to view the beauty of Tampere while having a few drinks. Take a selfie with a city view in the background from the 25th floor.

   10. Walk to the art wall of Kehräsaari. In front of the small bridge you can find a small poem in Finnish on a brick wall. Take a selfie in front of the poem. 

   11. Pispala is one of the most beautiful areas in Tampere: there are colorful houses and nice views. Pyykkimettä Park is a great viewpoint, take a selfie here

EXTRA ACTIVITIES

ET 1. Time to show the people around you where you belong to - ESN FINT! Create the words  “FINT” above, below, or next to any Landmark of Tampere that you find or especially like! Important: You can only use your own bodies to create the words. 

Ask someone to take a picture of it

ET2. Find the FINT or Uni Helsinki mascot and take a picture with it’

ET3. For an Inside experience you can visit some exhibitions around the city that are taking part in the Tampere Gallery week
